Description
MCC Youth Video Competition Proposal
Purpose:
To engage MCC youth, particularly high school students and older, in a creative and meaningful way. This competition aims to inspire reflection on faith and community during the holy month of Ramadan. This competition is for High-school students and beyond only.
Competition Overview:
Participants are invited to create three short reels, each focusing on a unique theme:
Pick any three of the four-topic listed below:
- Welcome Ramadan or My Masjid
Participants will share their personal traditions, preparations, and the excitement surrounding the holy month or share your love going to masjid
- My Favorite Ayah:
Participants will choose a Quranic verse that resonates with them and explain its significance in their life.
- Walk the Hadith:
Participants will share a meaningful Hadith and enact a short reel on this.
- Answer the Following Three Questions (no time limit of 30s)
- What Ramadan means to you
- How do you stay spiritually motivated during Ramadan?
- How does Ramadan impact your sense of community?
Guidelines:
- Each reel should be ideally under 30 second
- Emphasis on creativity, clarity, and personal reflection.
- All submissions must be original and respectful of MCC community values.
- You can use AI agents to help you edit, however not fully generate using AI
- Particiapants must be in High-school or in college
Judging Criteria:
- Relevance to the theme
- Creativity and originality
- Clarity and quality of presentation
- Depth of personal reflection and insight
The best entry will receive a brand new IPAD
Deadline & Submission:
Submissions are due by Mar 14th.
